Venkateswara Rao Paruchuri

Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao (born June 21, 1944) is an acclaimed Indian screenwriter, dialogue writer, playwright, director, and actor in Telugu cinema. Alongside his younger brother, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, he forms the legendary Paruchuri Brothers writing duo. Together, they have written stories, screenplays, and dialogues for over 350 films, shaping commercial blockbusters such as Khaidi (1983), Karthavyam (1990), Samarasimha Reddy (1999), and Indra (2002). A multi-time Nandi Award winner, he has also directed feature films and appeared in dozens of notable character and supporting roles across the Telugu film industry.
